Nirvana: A Journey to Wellness
Nirvana signifies a state of liberation from all sufferings.
In India, tea is more than just a beverage; it’s a way of life. It is the first offering to guests in our homes, offices and commercial spaces. While traditional Indian milk tea may not always align with wellness, we have a rich legacy of Ayurvedic concoctions passed down through generations, each addressing various ailments.
Nirvana was born during the first wave of COVID-19. As fear and anxiety gripped the world and we were confined to our homes. I found myself in a fully-equipped kitchen with children to care for, yet unable to visit doctors. Coughs, fever, throat infections, chest congestion, and sleeplessness became common concerns. Driven by necessity, I turned to age-old recipes, treating not only my family but also friends and neighbours.
While these remedies proved effective, their taste often left much to be desired. Fortunately, I had the guidance of my uncle, Dr. Vasudev Bansal, an eye surgeon with over 50 years of experience. His vast knowledge of plants and Ayurveda inspired me to blend these ancient recipes with green and black teas.
With ample time during the pandemic, this journey quickly became a passion project. Over two years, I conducted countless experiments with herbs, flowers, roots and barks, drawing insights from esteemed gurus of Uttarakhand and tea experts from Siliguri. The result is 24 unique blends crafted to help you achieve your own state of Nirvana.
